Watermelon Mint Mocktail

  • Author: Emily
  • Total Time: 10 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

A cool and crisp mocktail made with fresh watermelon juice, mint, and sparkling club soda—hydrating and perfect for summer.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 fresh mint leaves, plus more for garnish
  • Ice
  • 3/4 cup watermelon juice (see Tip below)
  • ½ cup club soda
  • Small slice watermelon for garnish

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Watermelon Juice

(Skip if you already have fresh watermelon juice on hand.)

Place 1½ cups of cubed seedless watermelon in a blender.

Blend until smooth.

Strain the juice through a fine-mesh sieve into a bowl.

Use a spoon to press down the solids to extract as much juice as possible.

Discard the pulp.

Chill the juice until ready to use (up to 4 days in the fridge).

Muddle the Mint

In a tall glass, add 2 fresh mint leaves.

Use a muddler or the back of a spoon to gently crush the leaves, releasing their aromatic oils.

Do not over-muddle—just enough to bruise the leaves.

Add Ice and Watermelon Juice

Fill the glass with ice.

Pour in 3/4 cup chilled watermelon juice over the mint and ice.

Top with Club Soda

Add ½ cup of club soda to the glass.

Stir gently to combine all ingredients without disturbing the fizz too much.

Garnish and Serve

Garnish with a small watermelon wedge on the rim and additional mint leaves.

Serve immediately while cold and bubbly.

Notes

Watermelon is 92% water and naturally full of electrolytes, vitamin C, and citrulline.

Mint contains menthol, which can soothe digestion and add a cooling sensation.

Club soda contains added minerals and carbonation, giving it a refreshing sparkle and added health benefits.
