5-ingredient Strawberry Cheesecake Dump Cake with sweet strawberry filling, cream cheese, and golden vanilla cake topping. Easy, rich, and delicious.
Ingredients
- 1 (15.25 oz) vanilla or French vanilla cake mix
- 1 stick of butter, melted
- 1 (8 oz) package of cream cheese
- 2 (21 oz) cans of strawberry pie filling
Instructions
Preheat and Prep
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with non-stick spray or butter.
Make Cake Crumble
In a medium mixing bowl, melt the stick of butter in the microwave.
Add the cake mix directly to the melted butter.
Stir with a fork until the mixture forms crumbly, wet sand-like clumps. Set aside.
Layer the Pie Filling
Pour both cans of strawberry pie filling into the prepared baking dish.
Spread evenly across the bottom using a spatula.
Add Cream Cheese
Slice the cream cheese block into thin pieces.
Distribute the slices evenly over the top of the strawberry filling.
Add Cake Topping
Sprinkle the cake mix crumble evenly over the cream cheese and strawberries. Try to cover the surface completely.
Bake
Place the dish in the oven and bake for 30 minutes, or until the filling is bubbling and the topping is lightly golden brown.
Cool and Serve
Allow to cool for at least 5–10 minutes.
Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
Notes
No need to soften the cream cheese before slicing—it melts into the filling as it bakes.
Let the cake cool just slightly to help it firm up before serving.
The crumbly topping is meant to be rustic—don’t press it flat.
