Ingredients
2 pounds beef stew meat
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1½ pounds baby Yukon gold potatoes

Prepare the Steak:

In a large bowl, season the beef stew meat with 2 teaspoons salt, 1 teaspoon black pepper, and 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Toss to coat evenly.

Sear the Steak:

Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned steak pieces and sear for 2-3 minutes on each side until browned. Transfer the seared steak to the slow cooker.

In the same bowl, toss the baby Yukon gold potatoes with 1 tablespoon olive oil, 1 teaspoon salt, ½ teaspoon black pepper, and ½ teaspoon garlic powder until evenly coated.
