Ingredients
- 4 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.
Season the Broccoli
In a large mixing bowl, combine:
Broccoli florets
Olive oil
Minced garlic
Salt and black pepper
Toss thoroughly to ensure each floret is well-coated with oil and seasoning.
Arrange on Baking Sheet
Spread the seasoned broccoli out on the prepared baking sheet in a single layer. Avoid overcrowding—this allows the broccoli to roast, not steam.
Roast
Place the sheet in the oven and roast for 15–20 minutes, stirring or flipping halfway through.
The broccoli is done when it’s tender with golden, crispy edges.
Add Parmesan
Remove the tray from the oven and sprinkle Parmesan cheese evenly over the hot broccoli.
Return to the oven and roast for an additional 2–3 minutes, just until the cheese melts slightly and adheres to the florets.
Serve
Serve immediately while hot and crisp. Enjoy as a side or healthy snack!
Notes
Pre-grated Parmesan works, but freshly grated gives better melt and flavor.
For extra crispiness, don’t overcrowd the pan—use two trays if needed.
