Description
Easy Baked Honey Dijon Chicken—juicy chicken breasts in a sweet, tangy glaze made with Dijon, honey, and garlic. Perfect 30-minute dinner recipe!
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- ¼ cup Dijon mustard
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 2 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish with olive oil or non-stick spray and set aside.
Make the Honey Dijon Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together:
¼ cup Dijon mustard
¼ cup honey
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
2 minced garlic cloves
1 teaspoon dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste Mix until smooth and well-combined.
Coat the Chicken
Place the chicken breasts into the prepared baking dish. Pour the honey Dijon sauce over the chicken, turning each piece to fully coat it with the marinade.
Bake
Transfer the dish to the oven and bake for 25–30 minutes, or until the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (74°C). Halfway through cooking, spoon some of the sauce from the dish over the chicken to enhance the flavor and keep it moist.
Garnish and Serve
Remove the chicken from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes.
Garnish with fresh parsley, if using, and serve immediately with your favorite sides.
Notes
Always check doneness with a meat thermometer—165°F is the safe internal temperature for chicken.
Doubling the sauce is a great idea if you want extra for drizzling or dipping.
If using bone-in chicken, increase bake time by 10–15 minutes and monitor closely.
