Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 cup crushed Ritz crackers or buttery cracker crumbs
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- Optional garnish: parsley or chives
Instructions
Step 1: Prep the Oven & Pan Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with nonstick spray or butter.
Step 2: Season the Chicken Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Lay them evenly in the baking dish.
Step 3: Make the Creamy Sauce In a medium bowl, combine the cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Mix until smooth and well blended.
Step 4: Layer the Sauce Spoon the creamy mixture evenly over the chicken breasts, spreading to cover them completely.
Step 5: Add Cheese Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously over the creamy sauce.
Step 6: Make Cracker Topping In a small bowl, mix the crushed Ritz crackers with the melted butter until the crumbs are coated.
Step 7: Top the Bake Sprinkle the buttery cracker topping evenly over the cheese layer.
Step 8: Bake Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and the top is golden brown.
Step 9: Rest & Garnish Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley or chives if desired.
