Description
Classic no bake cookies made with chocolate, peanut butter, and oats—fudgy, chewy, and no oven needed!
Ingredients
- 2 cups (297 g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (120 mL) milk
- 1/2 cup (1 stick, 113 g) unsalted butter
- ¼ cup (20 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- 3 cups (300 g) quick oats
- 1 cup (250 g) smooth peanut butter
- 1½ teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
Line a baking sheet with parchment or wax paper and set it aside.
Have all ingredients measured and ready—this recipe moves fast once it starts!
In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the granulated sugar, milk, unsalted butter, and cocoa powder.
Stir occasionally to help the butter melt and prevent burning.
Once the mixture reaches a rolling boil, let it boil for exactly 60 seconds. Start a timer to avoid overcooking or undercooking.
Immediately remove the pan from heat.
Stir in the quick oats, peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt.
Mix until everything is fully combined and the peanut butter is completely melted into the mixture.
Using a teaspoon or cookie scoop, drop spoonfuls of the cookie mixture onto the prepared baking sheet.
Leave a little space between each cookie as they spread slightly.
Allow the cookies to cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes, or until they are fully set.
Notes
These cookies are best made on dry, non-humid days—humidity can affect how well they set.
You can use 1%, 2%, or whole milk. Avoid plant-based milk substitutes unless experienced.
No need to chill, but refrigeration can help speed up setting if needed.
