Ingredients
- 1 pound skinless, boneless chicken breast halve
- 1 ½ cups shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
- 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 (8-ounce) package refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 2 tablespoons melted butter, or as needed
Instructions
Step 1: Preheat the Oven
-
Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
-
Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
Step 2: Cook and Shred the Chicken
-
Place the chicken breasts in a large pot and cover with water.
-
Bring to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium and let simmer for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked.
-
Use a meat thermometer to check that the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
-
Remove the chicken from the water and let it cool slightly.
-
Shred the chicken using two forks.
Step 3: Make the Cheesy Filling
-
In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded Monterey Jack cheese, Cheddar cheese, cream cheese, salt, and pepper.
-
Stir in the shredded chicken, making sure it is well coated with the creamy cheese mixture.
Step 4: Assemble the Wraps
-
Open the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles.
-
Lay each triangle flat on a clean work surface.
-
Spread a generous amount of the chicken-cheese mixture onto the wide end of each crescent roll.
-
Roll the dough gently from the wide end to the tip, forming a crescent shape.
-
Place the assembled wraps seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet.
Step 5: Bake
-
Brush the tops of the rolls with melted butter for a golden, crispy finish.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Step 6: Serve and Enjoy
-
Remove from the oven and let the wraps cool slightly before serving.
-
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
- Be careful not to overfill the crescent rolls to prevent them from bursting while baking.
- If using pre-cooked chicken, ensure it is shredded well for an even filling.
- Let the wraps cool for a few minutes before serving to avoid burns from the hot cheese filling.
