- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 ½ cups shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Garnishes:
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- Grated Parmesan for garnish
Equipment:
- Large skillet
- Pot for boiling pasta
- Wooden spoon or spatula
Instructions
Step 1: Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
- Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente.
- Drain the pasta and set it aside.
Step 2: Brown the Beef
- In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add the ground beef.
- Break it apart with a wooden spoon and cook until browned, about 5-6 minutes.
- Drain any excess fat and set the beef aside.
Step 3: Make the Garlic Butter Sauce
- Reduce the heat to medium and add butter to the same skillet.
- Once melted, add the minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
Step 4: Build the Creamy Sauce
- Pour in the beef broth and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 3-4 minutes to reduce slightly.
- Stir in the heavy cream, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using).
- Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes, allowing it to thicken slightly.
Step 5: Add the Cheese
- Stir in the shredded Parmesan cheese and mix until melted and smooth.
Step 6: Combine Everything
- Return the cooked beef to the skillet and stir to coat in the sauce.
- Add the cooked pasta and toss everything together until well combined.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
Step 7: Garnish & Serve
- Sprinkle with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan before serving.
- Enjoy immediately!
Notes
- Freshly grated Parmesan melts better than pre-packaged shredded cheese.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
- If you prefer a milder garlic flavor, reduce the amount to 2 cloves instead of 4.
