Description
Festive Rice Krispie treat pops dipped in red, white, and blue candy melts—perfect for 4th of July or Memorial Day parties.
Ingredients
- 4 paper straws, cut in half
- 2 oz white candy melts
- 8 pack Rice Krispie treats, unwrapped
- 5 oz red candy melts
- 5 oz blue candy melts
- Red, white, and blue sprinkles
Instructions
Step 1: Insert the Sticks
Melt the white candy melts according to package instructions.
Dip one end of each halved paper straw into the melted white candy, then immediately insert it halfway into the short side of a Rice Krispie treat.
Place on parchment paper to set. This acts as the “glue” to hold the sticks in place.
Dip in Red
Melt the red candy melts in the microwave following package instructions.
Holding each treat by the straw, dip half of the Rice Krispie treat into the red candy melt (either the bottom or side for the flag look).
Gently tap off excess chocolate and place the treat back on parchment paper to harden.
Dip in Blue & Add Sprinkles
Melt the blue candy melts as instructed on the package.
Dip the opposite end or corner of the treat into the blue candy, creating a red/blue combo.
Quickly sprinkle with red, white, and blue sprinkles while the candy is still wet.
Set on parchment paper to cool and harden.
White Drizzle
Reheat the white candy melts, transfer to a small zip-top bag, and snip a tiny corner.
Drizzle white candy over the red-coated section for a striped flag effect.
Let all treats set completely on parchment paper.
Serve or Store
Once hardened, transfer to an airtight container. Store at room temperature until ready to serve.
Notes
Pre-made Rice Krispie treats work best for uniform size and shape.
Make sure candy melts aren’t overheated or they may seize.
Use a fine-tip drizzle bag or spoon for neater white striping.
