Description

Juicy Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers with a buttery garlic-Parmesan glaze. Quick, easy, and perfect for weeknight meals or entertaining!


Ingredients

For the Chicken:

  • 1 ½ lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into 2-inch pieces
  • 1 ½ Tbsp garlic and herb seasoning
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 6 skewers (metal or bamboo)

For the Garlic Parmesan Butter:

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened to room temperature
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced or grated
  • 1 Tbsp garlic and herb seasoning
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • ⅓ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Equipment:

 

  • Air fryer
  • Mixing bowls
  • Skewers
  • Basting brush
  • Tongs

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Skewers

  1. If using bamboo skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. If using metal skewers, ensure they fit inside your air fryer basket.

Step 2: Season the Chicken

  1. In a large mixing bowl, add the chicken pieces.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat.
  3. Sprinkle in the garlic and herb seasoning, then mix well to evenly coat the chicken. Massage the seasoning into the meat for best results.

Step 3: Assemble the Skewers

  1. Thread 7-8 pieces of chicken onto each skewer, leaving a little space between them for even cooking.
  2. Place the skewers on a plate while you preheat the air fryer.

Step 4: Cook the Chicken in the Air Fryer

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for a few minutes.
  2. Arrange the skewers in a single layer in the air fryer basket. If necessary, cook in batches.
  3. Air fry for 8 minutes.

Step 5: Make the Garlic Parmesan Butter

  1. While the chicken cooks, combine butter, garlic, garlic and herb seasoning, salt, parsley, and Parmesan in a small bowl. Mix well until smooth.

Step 6: Flip & Brush with Butter

  1. After 8 minutes, use tongs to flip each skewer.
  2. Brush generously with garlic Parmesan butter.
  3. Continue air frying for another 7 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).

Step 7: Final Brush & Serve

 

  1. Once cooked, flip the skewers again and brush the other side with garlic Parmesan butter.
  2. Serve immediately with extra garlic butter on the side for dipping.

Notes

  • For best results, use freshly grated Parmesan instead of pre-packaged cheese.
  • If using wooden skewers, always soak them to prevent burning.
  • The cooking time may vary depending on your air fryer model, so use a meat thermometer to check doneness.
